The NFL is the latest major American sports league to sign up with official betting partners. The league recently announced that three sportsbooks will be its official betting partners. The deals allow betting companies to access official league data and promote their relationship with the league, while tying their brands to statistics. If the five-year deal works, the NFL will receive nearly $1 billion in revenue from the partnership. If the NFL is not satisfied with the partnership after the first three years, it can opt out.
The PGA TOUR, the league’s largest professional league, is also an official betting partner. The organization is partnering with the National Council on Problem Gambling, IMG ARENA, and Genius Sports to provide live scoring data. The league is also aligned with the Have a Game Plan campaign and is a platinum member of the National Council on Problem Gambling. It has also partnered with the New York Knicks, NY Rangers, and Madison Square Garden.
The NFL, NBA, and MLB have chosen DraftKings as their official daily fantasy partners. They will also have on-site brand exposure during MLB Jewel Events. In addition to the MLB Postseason partnership, DraftKings will launch their 2021 T-Mobile Home Run Derby. A “Hit It Here” trigger will appear on the field to allow fans to place their bets. Additionally, the company will launch a free-to-play contest around the Home Run Derby, with a chance to win $50K in prizes.
